Hi all,
So I got into the bfa acting program at pace. Though I am psyched, I do not know much about the program aside from the description on pace's website.
I was wondering if there were any current students/alumni/people-who-know-people who could help me clear things up....
What's an average day like?
Since they teach many acting methods at pace, is there a certain way with which they teach them? Is it all together or is it like a method taught per unit? Ex) Stanislavsky is taught in the first semester and meisner is taught in the second semester etc...
How do they help you incorporate each method into the work you're doing?
What's the general vibe of the place? (Ex: Strict? Supportive? Both?)
I know that they allow you to audition and work while in the program. How else do they prepare their students for the industry?
How does the program compare to other schools such as NYU tisch or cal arts? What makes it different from those programs?
Overall how are the teachers at pace? I don't care about their bio.. How are they as acting teachers?
Lastly, how prepared are pace students once they graduate? Is pace too career oriented?

We’re going to admitted student event April 12th - hoping to learn more about the program then.

Pace definitely seemed very career oriented to us. Not sure what the OP means by “too career-oriented” but for my D that may be the case. For instance, they said something about emailing students about professional auditions which many thought was fabulous. But, she commented on disliking the emphasis on getting work when she wanted to be in school learning.
