My D was accepted to FTVC last Friday 3/10. She was called by the director. 
We got our financial award letter before she even auditioned so the two are not connected. I guess they offer some limited artistic awards but that would just be a bonus on top of getting in. The main financial awards come based on academic acceptance.
@dancebus my D auditioned for Comm Dance as well and we have not heard anything. (Accepted into school back in Dec but only as âundecidedâ since decisions hadnât obviously been made for Comm Dance). Weâre just waiting. Would love to know when we find out no matter if itâs good or badâŠ
My daughter was accepted for Commercial Dance back in Nov. She also auditioned for Mth and we are still anxiously waiting⊠I have been keeping notes on her network of friends and show that Pace has contacted/offered to 12 boys and 9 girls up to now for Mth. That being said, it is possible that a few of these were posted incorrectly (maybe received acting offer but posted on a Mth chat) Hope this helps - good luck to all!!
Is it true to say that if youâve heard nothing from Pace MT at this point, then a rejection letter is on its way?
My D is a senior Commercial Dance majorâŠitâs very interesting that they made acceptances back in November. The year she auditioned they did not put any results out until the first week in April after all auditions were over. It was the very last school who notified her. In fact that year I think the first audition wasnât until DecâŠI guess theyâre changing things up.
My daughter goes to a PA HS and we have a showcase every year for the seniors - much like a college. We have on average 15 colleges who come for dance and 15 for Acting. Unfortunately our school doesnât do much with Mth so the colleges donât come for that (yet)⊠I believe PACE only handed out 5 dance acceptance letters there. My understanding is that they ONLY give them to students who had already applied to the school and after speaking with faculty âknowâ they are really interested. We were thrilled!! The mth acceptance process has been so stressful - its been very nice to have something in our back pocket through all of this!
@DallasSMB come to think of it Pace also attends the NYCDA summer intensive and I remember they gave out at least one acceptance with a large scholarship there a few years back so they probably do it every year.
@marg928 My D went to the audition in Oct 2016 and because we didnât do ED, they told us that we will not hear until Mar. So, we are still waiting. Has your D received any job offers? Iâm wondering how cut-throat it is in the commercial dance world?
So when will Commercial Dance notifications truly go out/be done? I know some have been accepted but havenât seen any denials. It would be nice to know one way or another⊠or at least when we will know one way or another vs. just hanging out here wondering when word comes⊠(I realize some have received calls. Is that the way they do all yes notifications???
@SLparent they donât allow the students to audition (even though they claimed to when she was a freshman and thatâs why many kids decided to go there!) or should I say they make it difficultâŠso she wonât be pursuing anything or signing with an agent until after graduation.
@marg928 Thanks for that piece of info. The last thing any parent needs is to fork out 60k (without a scholarship) a year and not have a job lined up right after school. Thatâs crazy that they make it hard for the kids to sign with an agent or audition while in school. I guess what they promise you while your student is a prospect and what truly happens are 2 different things.
@SLparent you got that right! My middle daughter has an agent for acting and she got an email yesterday with a part she has to put herself on tape for. It ends up that it was really a dance role, perfect for my older daughter. I emailed it to her and she actually got annoyed at me and said she would look at it if she had time! This week she began working on her senior solo and has to present it to Rhonda on Friday and is also in rehearsals every night plus she has a business class. She better find time to do this or I will be mighty pissed off! Itâs a dance movie that films in Europe this summer.

Has anyone on the FTVC alternate list heard back yet?
@mounababa my D has decided to go elsewhere and let Wayne know last week that should would not be going. She is a petite blond and I believe Pace works with an alternate list by type. Hopefully that made someone happy!
