Does anyone know how the pre-screen audition invites work? Applied to all of the acting BFAs and the BA Theatre Performance program. Got an email for a live audition for the BA program, but haven’t gotten any emails for the others-either way. Does that mean this is the only program that my s. has been invited to audition for?
When in doubt, call to be sure. I did look at my son’s email for the 2014 cycle. Son only applied for BFA MT, and the email thanked him for “submission(s)” and then noted date, time and location for BFA MT. The “submission(s)” part would lead me to believe it was their standard reply for single or multiple submissions and it would address them all in one reply. I want to stress this was two years ago, so it could be different now.
The email my D got said it was for acting (all areas) - she only applied to bfa acting. It then noted if you applied to more than one program, separate audition sign ups were required and different email would be sent. It said to log onto get accepted to sign up for different programs. A bit confusing.
Is it still possible to send in a pre-screen for Pace and get an audition slot, or is it too late? Are all the audition slots full? And if your 1st and 2nd choices on Acceptd are full, does Pace offer you another one if there is room in another slot?
I emailed an admissions person with this same question yesterday. He said to hurry up and get it all in as the live audtions fill up
Just submitted my prescreen today! How long does it usually take for a response? Do people actually get turned away from just their prescreen or it’s just a way to get to know the person auditioning?
Got my D’s prescreen in yesterday. Whew! Hoping it isn’t too late. She had one more song that needed to be recorded. Kinda bummed because I couldn’t find the video camera and had to use a DSLR. The audio isn’t the best.
I guess I could answer my own question. Just got a callback for an audition! The nerves are already kicking in.
