Pace U Music Program

Lisa G - I had emailed the theater department about decision dates and they said that notifications would go out after all of the auditions had been done. I believe their last audition was today. Ugh...I didn't realize their acceptance numbers were so low! However, I believe they said at the info session that they would automatically consider people for Theater Studies if they didn't make the audition cut.

My D is also accepted to the school and is waiting to hear.

seashells29....I guess we continue to wait.We had to leave before the info session. I never even considered the theater studies...maybe I will check out the curriculum just incase. They send a lot of mail and I keep thinking it's "THE LETTER". Good luck!!!

Here is a link to a post that Amy did a while back, I will bump as well. I don't know if she is still posting/reading here.

My D studied briefly with Amy a couple summers ago and I can tell you that she changed my D's life (as a person AND as a MT performer), I would say her specialty is teaching students how to get hired! She is a huge asset to Pace and anyone who has the opportunity to work with her is very fortunate.

Thanks believersmom for the info...Amy did seem really great...a few things have changed since this post though....thanks again

Yes, I did know about the changes. But I thought it was good that you can actually contact the director of the program so easily.

Best of luck everyone.

since i work in the office i will try and post as soon as we send the letters out so that you know when to expect them.

keep asking any questions if you have them...

An interview with Pace's Amy Rogers:

i really like it and would love to go hear!

the head of the dept is such a nice lady and it seems to be a great program n that everyone is very close and there to help each other reach their goals

hilary25....hi, any letters out yet?...thanks just curious...Lisa G

this morning the acceptance letters for MT went out :)

Good luck everyone!

Let us know what the outcomes are and what you decide.

yey........hilary, Thanks for the info!!

Hilary25 - Did the letters go out for BFA Acting as well? If so, are you allowed to tell us how many went out? Thanks!

The BFA Acting ones will be going out sometime today; some things still need to be finalized. I actually cant tell you how many went out because I just dont know haha

Hilary27 - Did all letters go out on March 27 (both acceptances and rejections or just the acceptances)? Also, do you happen to know whether a student who got accepted to the university but not to the theater program could go in as an undeclared major and reaudition next year?

The MT acceptances went out on Monday. Today, ALL of the letters went out--waitlist, rejection, BA only, etc.

And yes, you can re-audition next year if you are not accepted but decide to come to the school anyway :)

Thanks hilary....we are still waiting in NJ for the MT letter, i guess it will come tomorrow.

Thanks hilary....my D is anxiously awaiting the results of this one, as am I!

I'm still auditioning for Pace tomorrow, but since letters went out I'm assuming that my chances are slim to none right?

No thats not true. Your letter just (obviously) will not go out with this batch :)
