After a quick conversation with Wayne a few days ago, the gist was "If you didn’t specifically audition for the BA people, you’re not being considered for BA. He’s a nice guy, BTW. I wouldn’t want to be him right now.

I’m going forward with the “if you haven’t heard by now, it’s not promising” approach. We would love a shocker but I definitely think that’s exactly what it would be if she got in.

Anyone get a letter yet?

I know the calls have been going out for a week or so but they keep saying you’re not out until the letter says it.

Not sure why some wouldn’t get calls but they seem adamant about it. Just wondering if anyone has it in writing yet?

Hi, I’m a High School senior who needs help deciding what college to choose for next year.
I have narrowed it down to two options:

BFA in Actor Training at Hartt Conservatory of Music, Dance, Theatre.
I’m not crazy about the location, but I plan to visit next week.

BFA Acting for Film, Television, Voice-over & Commercial at Pace University.
I’m not crazy about film acting, I really have a place in my heart for stage acting. But, I visited this weekend and I love the location of the campus.

PLEASE HELP! Anything helps!

Thanks!

Mckeeacting, I answered your question on another thread. It’s best not to post the same question on more than one thread.

MCKeeacting—make your decision after you visit Hartt. We love both but clearly the difference is how you feel you fit on campus and into the work…Best of Luck! My D got into both and declined for a BA double major program at Albright college…and it really is about your comfort level.

Have you been accepted to both programs?

Not everyone who gets accepted receives a phone interview. They only do it if they feel like they want to get to know you better. I was accepted into the BFA Acting program and never got one.

For those accepted to Pace University BFA programs, did you receive your academic acceptance before your audition? How soon after you applied?
My son did, yes, and had scholarship info already as well. But he applied early and as I recall some kids had not heard by the time of their audition.
Last year, the academic acceptances for Pace came around Christmastime and included scholarship and financial aid info.
My D was academically accepted to PACE in December, and also received a generous merit based scholarship. She hasnt yet auditioned.
Thank you all. His application status as of today says “Decision made”. He applied in Oct. Hoping it’s a Yes. As he has his audition set at Unifieds. Is Pace very hard to get into academically? And, are any of your S or D attending?
As I understand it (not certain as D did not apply) it is not a particularly difficult academic admit- in fact, I don’t know if I have ever heard of anyone being academically denied there. Very competitive artistically
hmmm my daughter applied in October and was invited to audition, but we haven’t heard anything about her academic admission…better make a call.
She’s in academically with a great scholarship – now onto the audition!
My S received his academic acceptance with a fabulous scholarship. The best so far. Now on to Chicago for the audition.
