Pack your rain boots

When it’s warm and rainy (like yesterday), my kids wear flip-flps.

When it’s COLD and rainy, my kids wear (and LOVE) their waterproof sheepskin lined Clarks hightops…they look a lot like Clark Wallabees, but they’re thicker, lined with real sheepskin, and WATERPROOF.

the shoes do NOT look like “rain boots” at all. They just look like hightop wallabees.

Even tho they are waterproof, since they are suede, I do spray them with Scotchguard to further protect the suede. They’ve had them for many years…they LAST!!! Same pairs!

They also wear them when they’re cold…especially to COLD football games…but also walking across campus on COLD days…which there will be in Dec/Jan/Feb…and maybe longer. Last winter was unusually warm; the previous winter was unusually COLD…several snow days.

These are waterproof as well…

S wears the llbean half boots, unlined in the rain. In the colder months he throws on a pair of wool socks.
