Packing clothes for college

So I start college in September and have no clue what to pack. I'm in New York and have been here all my life so I do know how unpredictable the weather can be such males picking what and how much to pack even more difficult. Any suggestions??

Where’s your college located?

That makes the biggest difference!

I’m going from NC to PA and clothing is my biggest concern. Lol.

You should know the weather pattern for the start of school to Thanksgiving time frame and pack for that. So, late summer clothes to late fall. Then you go home for Thanksgiving and come back with what you’ll need to finish the semester. Similar when you go home for Christmas.

Yeah but its hard to pick!! Bc in in NY I have like 1000 sweaters. Lol. Ill still be in NY i just don’t know how much of everything I’ll need

Easy. Look at the colors you have. Pick your favorite from every color. Then if you have room for more, look at the styles and see if there’s a style you haven’t picked one from.

Bring:
-3 Fall jacket/hoodies
-a few pair of clothes for hot days (like maybe 4/5)
-A few pair of clothes for cold days (you should have more of this because October is a very cold month in recent year and many people just happen to be unprepared for the sudden cooldown when it was warmer in the morning).
-I’d leave home clothes that you absolutely think you will never will.
-Oh bring lots of clothes for the current temperture. Knowing august it will get hot again and will come back to this temperature in september.

Whatever you wore in high school, you’ll wear in college.
Whatever you didn’t wear in high school, you won’t wear in college.

@Deuth: I broken that statement.

Like I got excescie shorts. New cargo pants. Some new shirts.

And I’m pretty sure many people will be wearing clothes they didn’t wear in high school (i.e. clothes with your college stuffs on it)

How does one even move so many clothes and dorm room things to another state? I wonder. Aha
