Page Jumping?

It’s not jumping backward anymore - at least right now for me. But now when you open a thread it jumps to the very bottom and covers screen with ridiculous ad. Even after you close the ad, you’re at the very bottom of the page and have to scroll up to try and figure out where you left off. These updates have been TERRIBLE. Even with an ad blocker the ads are OBNOXIOUS. I’m seriously ready to throw in the towel on a forum that I’ve used regularly for 5 years. Fix the site!

Just to reiterate the broken post count - today, I’m clearly at the bottom of the page and it’s showing there more posts, but either the counter is broken or the page isn’t showing additional posts.

@Darcy123 sorry you’ve been having so much trouble, when you encounter it are you able to take a screenshot and post it? That would be helpful for troubleshooting for us.

So every single thread I opened this morning did this - probably 10 threads. I closed after posting this comment. I received your reply and just tried a couple threads. None of them had any issue taking me to latest post - the ads are also gone. So clearly it’s an ad problem.

Still not fixed.

@CC_Mike pages are jumping around again. I’m in the middle of reading the third or fourth post in a thread and it jumps back to the first one I read.

Very annoying.

Me, too, the problem had disappeared, but now it has been back again for the last few days. I am using Firefox on a desktop.

I’m not only jumping but having issue with accessing and sending PMs. I also just got a type error message while trying to respond to another thread.

Problem appeared again this morning for me (didn’t login over the weekend).

I have a huge ad that keeps expanding at the top of my page tonight. Every time I start scrolling it expands to take up the whole top half of the page. (Alienware game or something like that).

Still having problems with page jumping and font compression.

I feel like things are getting worse rather than better.

I have that Alienware ad too…

@CC_Mike

@CC_Mike - Have been using Apple laptop to access CC with no issues. Out of town for a weekend getaway with no laptop and using my iPhone - impossible to read any of the threads. It initially brings me to the next unread and hovers there for a few seconds, then jumps 20-30 posts back to content I have already ready. No way to get to the new unread posts. I’ve tried scrolling through the read posts and using the page down bar to move forward but it consistently keeps jumping back to the old posts I’ve already read. Super frustrating and I am giving up. Tried reading 4 different threads and it happens with all 4 before I gave up.

@Lemonlee - on your iPhone, I assume it’s an iPhone X or newer and using Safari?

Can you tap on the hamburger menu (3 lines) in the upper right and choose “desktop view” and let me know how that works for you? It’s not a solution but will help narrow down the issue. You can switch back by going to the same menu and selecting Mobile View.

Glad someone bumped this up. On my iPad 8 using safari…the pages are hopping around again. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tapped a thread choice and opened some other random thread.

It is still happening for me too. I’ve just given up reporting.

@momofboiler1 My notifications haven’t worked in at least a week. I reported to Mike but he wasn’t able to figure it out. My notifications don’t work on either my iphone or my ipad. I too gave up trying to get it fixed.

Mine are only sporadically working and there is no synchronization between my phone and computer.

No, I have an older iPhone, but I didn’t previously have any issues as I did consistently use my phone at night to access CC. I’ve tried switching to desktop view and that does not fix it.

@CC_Mike I’m having all kinds of issues today on my laptop. My unread notifications aren’t updating after I read the threads and when I click on threads, it takes me back to places I’ve already read. It’s been especially bad on the “inside medicine” thread. It’s so irritating that I’ve started un-tracking threads.
