<p>I just recently got selected to represent my city in our state TEEN USA Pageant. I am planning on raising the $995.00 to participate. How would that look on a college application?? Is it a good thing or a doesn't matter thing...?</p>

They pretty much call all the girls bimbos and "not the brightest crayons in the box". The pagaent is a little superficial though. A girl from my school was in the Teen USA pagaent. It would help you in regards to paying for college if you won....not sure if it would help in admissions. check out the thread though....</p>
<p>I don't think Yale would hold it against you if you had top grades, great SATs and other ECs that are academic. It would probably be important to break the stereotype by being a stellar academic and having something like scientific research.</p>
