<p>I've been a lurker here for a short while now and have seen a couple of students talk about their admissions to Ivy League colleges. Now, my question to you is, what are your achievements that got you in to an ivy league and what will be your advice to a 10th grader about to complete his O-levels 2 years from now on getting into these schools? </p>

<p>I am in Pakistan currently studying A levels i am also a Canadian citizen</p>
<p>I have 4A<em>2As in o levels
I got the highest in my class in both physics and chemistry for two consecutive years ( adding up all test scores)
I was second in my school in the Kangaroo maths competition ( a national level competition got 30th in the country)
In A levels I’m keeping 4 subjects Maths Physics Chemistry Further Maths
I did an internship at rising sun, 65 hours in total community service
I went to visit the IDPs in Bannu to distribute rations and sports goods went without the aid or protection of any organization
Did an Internship at Kohinoor Textile mills for 2 weeks working alongside the Head of the HR department and the General Manager of the Power Plant
Had 2A</em>2As in A1 currently studying in LGS Phase 5 on100% scholarship ( i wrote @2A*1A1B in another thread
i rechecked my components and it made an A overall)
Giving SAT I in October SAT II in November i may retake the SAT in December in case my first score isn’t good enough
Im planning to do a tonne of extracurricular in the time ahead of me
I am expected to become the head of the Maths Society in my school
and plan on working alongside an NGO until my CIEs start
If i do become the maths president i plan on doing a whole lot more
I know three languages Urdu English and Punjabi and a few words of French LOL</p>
<p>My two references for US are my PHYSICS and CHEMISTRY teacher both have studied from an excellent university (physics teacher from yale and chemistry teacher from cambridge).
My chemistry teacher knows me very well i have been acing every test he’s been throwing at me without studying, chemistry is something i am naturally good at. </p>

With regards to your question above, I’m just going to say that you should start working on your essays ASAP and get them checked by loads of your seniors. Be ready to accept unfavorable criticism because that will come your way. DO NOT APPLY TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Most people, without checking anything, apply to these schools, get accepted and then find out that they cannot attend because public schools do not give aid to internationals.
