Pakistani thread

the Pakistani thread
is there anyone...well i know there are but.....

i read in the news that all of pakistans internet conncetions were down due to some fault in a submerged cable.... so how come u have access to the internet?

and it also probably explains why no other pakistani's are posting...

just curious- what are your views on musharaff?

im an indian bw...

its been in the news alot but ive been accessing the net ever so often

do yall really support terrorism? I mean dont yall think that killing innocent people is wrong? -Another Indian.

do yall really support terrorism? I mean dont yall think that killing innocent people is wrong?

What kind of a question is that? Do you think pakistanis are barbarians?

calm down will you? Its not like I know about their country, Im just asking an innocent question. The way our leaders potray it, it seems like the Pakistani people support terrorism in J&K, so Im clarifying. Sheesh.

omg, Pakistan is right next to India! Dont you have the common sense that pakistanis dont endorse killing innocent people?

jaw007, havaldaar is a gora wannabe and dont consider himself much Indian...so dont take his questions/comments as a representation of how Indians think/question in general...
in the past, we have always had 1 thread (the indian thread) for all south asians - so feel free to join in there...

Havaldar -
Why are you posting something so blatantly inflammatory under the guise of asking innocent questions?

Pakistanis are as good people as we Indians r... its the dirty headed ppl who wants 2 make us rivals.... We both love peace... LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR!

actually i have a question similar to havaldaar's but not quite...jaw007...if you still visit this thread...i'm really curious to know if the common man in pakistan feels some kind of animosity towards indians or is it just the government/media/terrorist groups whatever...that play it up?..cuz i for one agree with ronty007 over the whole neighbor thing...and there are tons of indians who believe/wonder about the same...like why we can't be at peace and stuff..but i wanna know what the general public there feels...

I have had loads of pakistani friends but they all lived outside pakistan, and they were anti-mush, anti-terrorism. but just wondering how you ppl in pakistan view india. Do they really fall for Mush propaganda - the BS about "freedom fighters" in Kashmir? Indians certainly dont.

personally i feel that mush, and some VHP idiots should be eliminated, nawaz brought back, and the LoC made the permanent border. any comments?

A common pakistani has alot of other things to worry about than to think of hating Indians. IMO any normal pakistani would NOT have any negative feelings for Indians.

The problem however is that Pakistan has a very large EXTREMIST population. It is the people who portray Islam in the negative and the extreme manner, which is IMO completely wrong, and these are the people who have spread the negative sentiments about India. A common man doesnt care about whts india and whts pakistan, he has to worry abt earning his bread n butter! I dont kno if anyone knows this, if relations with india got better, pakistan and india can save hell loads of foreign exchange. Its about time these 2 realize the importance of globalisation, they should look at EU, NAFTA and many other trading associations which promote free trade. But i doubt things will improve unless govt does somethin abt extremists, as whenever we get closer to india, thezr a bomb blast somewhere adn things get worst!

callthecops: If u think nawaz should be called back, no offense but u need to do ure homework buddy. Nawaz has been accused of corruption and misshandelling of funds which in other words mean he is EATING PEOPLE's MONEY! so no way in hell he should be brought back.

IMO mush and shaukat aziz are doing a wonderful job. Stock markets are going up, law n order situation is GETTING BETTER, its still pathetic but considering 2 years back, its improved!

Its about time we, south asians stop worrying about politics and worry abt trade and business, like any other smart nation! or we'll be left in the poverty trap forever relying on foreign aid and loans!

Buggzz, Who is ur fav. Indian & Paki Cricketer? Exclude Sachin... he is everyone's favourite
:)

1) i hate sachin.
2) i love musharaff.
3) sachin should pay his freakin tax on the ferrari.
4) as already mentioned, i think mush is doing a lot for the indo-pak peace process
5) nawaz shariff would be great for india, not pakistan. :P

an interesting thing here:
as we know, the problem of indo-pak relations lies pretty much in kashmir. the dispute started in 1947 when some afghans sent by SOMEONE tried to annex kashmir, which led harisingh (the then emperor of kashmir) to ask india for help for which indian guv would get the control of kashmir defense, external relations, communications.. india helped them and kashmir joined india. The problem is that the indians usually believe that the SOMEONE was pakistan.. but some people claim that the someone were the british who were very anti-congress..
also the opinion of the kashmiris was never taken into account (in 1950s they were very pro-indian, so it wouldn't have hurt india), so the kashmiris always felt that everything happened against their wishes..
Also i dont believe that pakistan is only to blame for the problem in kashmir. india deserves as much of the blame as pakistan.. the rigging of 1986 elections, appointment of jagmohan as the governor and some bad practices of indian army, giving this political problem a communal color, these things helped a lot to increase a problem...but as we say we dont know the full picture, what pakistanis think, what the governments think and most importantly, what the KASHMIRIS think?? they have no role at all!!
[DISCLAIMER: SOME things stated here are not my personal opinion but some prevalent beliefs, which may be wrong. And by no means am I saying that they are facts]

geez you'll go after me for everything, sorry if i insulted any pakistanis. In fact you know hat, with countrymen like these who needs enemies?

"jaw007, havaldaar is a gora wannabe and dont consider himself much Indian..."

You're so full of yourself.
There was another terrorist attack the day before(and yesterday), and Im just wondering why Pakistani people don't stop the terrorists, or atleast force Musharraff to stop the camps?

well havaldaar it's a bit harder than that....it's not that easy for ppl to force the goverment to stop terrorist camps...they have to worry about putting food on the table for their families first...but yes it would be great if SOMEONE (and i agree with adides...we always seem to either blame SOMEONE ELSE for things that go wrong or want SOMEONE to fix things) could do that...i think the biggest problem with both pakistan and india is corruption...look at the politicians for god's sake...they don't want peace because they use one group against another to get their votes...that's all they care about....sometimes it seems like we'll never get out of this vicious cycle...it's really depressing...

Hmmm I reread my post and I am tactless arnt I...lol, oh well. My question was the same as shjanama's but i guess i should have embellished it a little. I may not like India's present state, but I have boundless respect for the Indian Army and its really, really hard for me to forget Kargil, especially since I had to go everyday to school and face the Pakistani guys in my class(I was in London at that time).

dude adides why the hell did ya hafta go and call me a gora wannabe. Are you getting all macho since you're on the net?
