an interesting thing here:
as we know, the problem of indo-pak relations lies pretty much in kashmir. the dispute started in 1947 when some afghans sent by SOMEONE tried to annex kashmir, which led harisingh (the then emperor of kashmir) to ask india for help for which indian guv would get the control of kashmir defense, external relations, communications.. india helped them and kashmir joined india. The problem is that the indians usually believe that the SOMEONE was pakistan.. but some people claim that the someone were the british who were very anti-congress..
also the opinion of the kashmiris was never taken into account (in 1950s they were very pro-indian, so it wouldn't have hurt india), so the kashmiris always felt that everything happened against their wishes..
Also i dont believe that pakistan is only to blame for the problem in kashmir. india deserves as much of the blame as pakistan.. the rigging of 1986 elections, appointment of jagmohan as the governor and some bad practices of indian army, giving this political problem a communal color, these things helped a lot to increase a problem...but as we say we dont know the full picture, what pakistanis think, what the governments think and most importantly, what the KASHMIRIS think?? they have no role at all!!
[DISCLAIMER: SOME things stated here are not my personal opinion but some prevalent beliefs, which may be wrong. And by no means am I saying that they are facts

I think it is believed that Pakistan was the "SOMEONE". Its not only Indians who believe that. I have read this in different newspapers ( in different countries ) too.

I dont see any motivation for the Afghans to come to India. So the only people responsible can be the British and Pakistanis. I doubt the British would ahve anything to do with this because they had other problems at that time in the other parts of the world. They wanted partition ( i.e. to leave permanent damage ) and they accomplished that.

And also, if what you say might be true, then Pakistan doesnt have the right to claim Kashmir as a part of its own.

Althogh I must say it sucks to have three wars with a country and spend a major chunk of your defense budget when you could just make peace with the coutnry your fighting... But the damn politicians..........

lol illbeback ,typical jai hindite style. I cant believe i dint see the signs...i bet you like linkin park, hang out at mochas and fiddle with your cell phone.
HAHAHA

and yeah all the indians on this thread, i dont know which world you live in, but a few days after a terrorist attack, the common man aint gonna have a very high opinion of Pakistan, its just the fantastical make believe world of CC, where everyone runs around holding hands while flower petals fall, and problems are solved just by clicking one's fingers...LLLLLL

Linkin Park = ugh

Someone please explain why they are so popular

its not like that...if youre a Jai hindite you have to have to like certain things. Hanging out and wasting time are two favourite pastimes.

Well, the ill-informed americans would want more investigation into madrassas, etc in Pakistani and force their government to interfere in Pakistan's internal affairs ( which is what the government imo wants.. support from its people to do just that ) ..

Anyways, the bush government needs to stop meddling with the internal affairs of other countries and must also stop brainwashing its citizen with the crappy news channels. All they ever show about is the US. Surprisingly, they talked about London bombings but maybe thats because it was a "terrorist" attack. This might be a generalization but its true to a certain extent.

Oh yeah my batch loves the simpsons and the 70's Show. Plus who can forget the cusses! I hear c hu **** every 1 min, and F cuk is everyone's all time favourite word.

Who is a "Jai hindite" ?

hindi = language.

So how could you be a Jai Hindiite?

well hind = hindustan not hindi, the language

hmm true.. didn think about that ;)

:D u have proclaimed it yourself that you dont like to be an Indian...am i missing something here. i was making a point that your opinions dont represent that of the whole country (like mine doesnt either)

as far as musarraf/pakistan and controlling terrorism. were we able to control ltte in srilanka? are we able to control rss and vhp? so its easier said than done.

about being macho on net :p only if we would meet in person(if we havent already without knowing), you'd know how i can be in person as well...:D

oh btw - i like linkin park...they are awesome :)

ok.... i think we are threadcrapping in the PAKISTANI thread which imo, isnt fair... so stop it both of you :p

thats what we TiT'ers do...take over all threads :D

Yeah i know that what i am saying is not prevalent or widely believed in the world but many people do believe this..it might be totally wrong.
but my main point here is that both are blaming each other and just using this situation as a political agenda...also as i said no1 is thinking about the kashmiris..we are treating kashmir as the piece of land and forgetting totally about the people who live there..some solution has to come up or kashmir can very well become a west bank

oh damn.. just realized that by Jai Hindite he meant a JAI HIND STudent.. lol!

Honestly, for them kashmiris, the grass would be greener on the other side... they've suffered in India for approx 15-20 years... They probably think that Pakistan is better .... although in reality they both are the same..

But your right.. The 2 governments need to come up with a solution...

the kashmiris dont want either..they want independence! for they know that both the gov. are pretty much playing with them..but granting independence is pretty tough..building a new nation of a state which is eco. and industrially backward is pretty tough..atleast we can give some autonomy to it..which is a sort of consolidation for forcing a decision upon them in 1947..again thats my personal opinion..might be wrong :)

yaa they wear off quick but behind blue eyes is zawesome

waves juss checkin out the scene at cc ;) hah titters away

i dont think so.. Kashimr will become a Muslim state and there will be fights between Jammu and Kashmir due to religion ( there are always rotten eggs in every society who will incite this.. there are quite a few extremists in kashmir also.. for all you know, kashmir could become a theocracy ) . Forget it! it's better off under the hands of a larger government such as India..
