Hi. I took 3 tests yesterday, but somehow I forgot to bubble in the name of the test for the 3rd one. Since I felt that I didn't do so well on that one anyway, I don't really care if it counted or not. However, I'm worried that the fact I did not bubble in the name for the third test, will affect the other two tests.

I mean, will all three get canceled? Or is only the third one canceled?
When the college board sees my test, they will see the multiple choice section bubbled in, but the test was not identified. Will someone simply pick any random test, and then I'll get a 200 on it?

Dam, is it really that dire?

I mean, I thought only the computer looks at it. If they can’t identify the test, they can’t give me a grade on it, right? I didn’t do the worst on the other two, so I’ll certainly want to see my scores, but I don’t know if getting a 200 on one is any good. Does anyone have to know? Besides, will they have to give me a 200?

Call CB tomorrow. Explain your situation. In the end, you may have to pay for a hand re-score since you made a minor bubbling error.

However, didn’t your proctor check to see all the right stuff was bubbled in?

Yea call them…see what the options are

your scores will probably be delayed for sure and yea you may want the hand re score if your score is like a 200.

but otherwise I don’t really see how they can give you a 200 when they don’t even know what test you took. But its better to call them and give your info/etc and tell them I guess. If you don’t they may have to score yours like over 9000 times to see which test your answers match best and you can never be sure of that…

And the proctor doesn’t always check or anything…

Well, yesterday was a mess. The first proctor did not read any of the instructions, and cut us 10minutes short of our time (the supervisor kicked her out). Then, I skipped about 8 questions or so on math II (too time consuming). Finally, the final test (USH), I only ended up answering about 50 questions, but I know only 2-3 are wrong. Then, I forget to mention which test it is. Yeah, my life sucks.

I mean, I probably wouldn’t get a good score on USH even if I bubbled it in correctly, but it’ll sure be better than a 200. I think what will be best is to simply not grade the last test.

However, assuming worst comes to worst, and I get a 200, will I have to send that to any college, or can I choose not to send it?

It depends on the college. Some let you choose which scores to send, while others make you send all your scores. Maybe you could add a note to your application explaining the low score? I don’t think that would hurt too much – it’s pretty damn hard to get a 200, and if you are an otherwise strong student, they’ll know something abnormal happened.

Abandon life and play Call of Duty. I’m kidding. Anyhow, many universities allow score choice, so there’s not much problem there. I reccomend you call Collegeboard and let them know of your circumstances, and I’m sure they can help. Dont feel bad about it.

Just call up college board. They can then easily just fill it in themselves when it comes. Plus if you dont call up and its not identified they prolly check your registration and see which tests you intended to take.

Now im concerned if i filled in the bubble of my second test. I remember filling in the questionnaire, but im prolly just being paranoid. Anyways, you could always request a re-score after for 50 dollars and identify the test for them.

i emailed college board to see what happens in situations like this. Will get back to anyone that needs help when i get the reply.

wait…you left 40 blank on ush? if it doesn’t affect the scores of your other two tests, I would just let it go because you wouldn’t really get that high of a score anyways. I think they have an exception where you can cancel “one” test if you misbubbled the test or something.

Yep, unfortunately, that’s how things turned out.

I called the college board, and the representative said that they couldn’t do anything until the scores are released. If the scores are released and only my Math II and my Physics show up, then I don’t have to do it with anything. If they try to match my test with something else, then I’m screwed. I really hope they don’t try to match my test to another subject.

The effect of “canceling” one score would actually be great for me, since I did so bad on the USH test.

I would be tempted to just cancel all of the scores that day and start fresh in October.

scintillation; lets say you want that third test score, when the scores are released and it doesnt show up/ or they incorrectly matched it up with the wrong test can you get it re-scored with the right test?

Because i emailed them and there response was to call them.

bump ^^^^^ ans that plz

Well, the scores were delayed.
I called this morning, and they say they’ll take a look. (and contact me with any problems)
Does anyone know how long this will take?
Will the third exam even count?
