i just checked my application status, and it says that im missing something

it was a counselor thing- and i know my counselor mailed everything in... twice, so i dont know why it isnt there? since its after the deadline will it count against me?

No, no. Don't worry about it, GWU is just a slight bit slow at updating their databases with received credentials. If you're still worrying then you can try to call them to alleviate this issue.

On the application status check site, they say it can take up to three weeks after receiving a part of your application to update it to the site.

Also, even if they still didn't have it for some reason, admissions will never penalize you for your school sending something late. The deadline only really applies to your part of the application.

Whenever something is sent in late in does become a gamble. You can only hope that admissions will get whatever it is you sent late in time before they review your app.
