DS sent his SAT scores back in July to the colleges he wanted to apply to. He submitted 10 applications yesterday. Of those, he got confirmation emails from 5 with instructions on how to check the status of his application. Only 1 of those 5 schools is posting that they have his test scores. The other 4 all state that he needs to send them. Anyone know how long he should wait to contact the schools? Hoping they have them and it will just take a day or two to be matched up. He emailed one school but then we noticed others don’t seem to have them either.
Id give them a few days to internally match them up. Email next Monday if they aren’t showing up, I’d say.
We always found it easiest to just call the admissions office with questions. They look up questions like yours, give you an answer and you don’t bog down somebody’s inbox. Done and done.
My guess is that, upon receipt of an application, they automatically warn you to send your scored.
His application is probably at the bottom of a pretty sizeable pile. I’m not sure it’s reasonable to expect that they would match his scores and his application immediately, especially in October. They’re inundated with applications right about now.
OP - My dd had trouble with two schools that she had scores directly when she initially took the test. They contacted her two months after the deadline to say they hadn’t gotten officially scores. Turns out they weren’t connected to her application properly but it was not an issue and she was accepted to both of those universities.
