Panicking about Princeton Interview!

I’ve got my Princeton Alumnae interview tomorrow and since it’s my first one, I’m feeling really underprepared and panicked!

I’ve gone mentally over what I particularly like about the university, is there anything else I really should think about in advance?
And I have no idea what to wear (I’m a girl). It’s at the interviewer’s house, and she described it as ‘informal’ but to what extent does this apply to what to wear? Is jeans and a nice top ok?

I know that in the grand scheme of things they matter very little and all the rest, but I’m still managing to panic because I would just love to go there and I don’t want to ruin my very small chance.

Hey @greenstudent my daughter had her interview last week. She said it was very low key & conversation like- not pretentious at all! The interviewer started the interview off by asking her about her family (if she had any siblings, what her parents did for a living, things like that) what she liked to do for fun, what her high school was like, if she had visited Princeton (she had) & what parts she liked about it and why she applied to Princeton. From there, it was very much a conversation about her favorite science class, favorite teacher and why, what she wanted from her college experience and then she got to ask questions. She thought it went very well. The interview lasted an hour- they met at a coffee shop and this alumn was actually a highly regarded professor at another well respected top college in our area -she thought that was helpful in that this interviewer was used to interacting with young adults on a daily basis.

This was her “second” interview for an Ivy school- the first one she was super nervous too.

Good luck!!!
