Panthéon-Sorbonne Admissions

I'm looking into going to Paris 1 after I graduate high school (I'm a senior right now). I got a 5 on my French AP exam last year, so this year I'm in French 5, and I'm taking level B2 classes with Alliance Français to prepare myself for the TCF-DAP.

I'm just wondering what my chances would be on getting accepted. I've heard that it isn't terribly hard for international students who are applying as independent students to get in, as long as they meet the B2 language level requirement, but I'm not entirely sure. My gpa is a 4.1 and the first SAT I took was a 1920. (I'll be taking it again in October, but I noticed that the Campus France app doesn't even ask about SAT scores at all). Anyways, does anyone have an idea of what my chances of getting in would be?

Also, the admissions process is quite confusing. I've been filling out the forms on Campus France, but I also noticed that there's an application on the Paris 1 website for international students. Does anyone have any experience with which is better to fill out, or if I'll end up having to do both?

Thanks!

Even though French kids often matriculate to a university near home, when at all possible, the main reason why the SAT is not used by French universities is because of the language discrepancy. That said, a 4.1 makes Sorbonne a realistic option. A safety, most likely, but there is no indication whatsoever of minimum grades (even if they were made public, they would vary greatly from a licence to another), since the run-of-the-mill French universities are non-holistic.

In fact, the real competition in French higher education is concentrated at some more or less elite schools called the “Grandes Écoles” (HEC Paris, Polytechnique, to name the most famous and selective of them).
