I'm going to sound like a complete nerd for asking this, but is it possible to find slightly larger notebooks than the standard 8.5" x 10" variety that sells for 10¢ at Walmart? I'm thinking either letter size or A4, but I've noticed that it's rather difficult to find anything larger than the standard size. I like my note-taking to be uninterrupted. :)

I bet you can easily find something online that will meet your expectations after a bit of searching.

Have you tried going to an office supply store? They will surely have letter size notebooks.

I’ve found the letter sized kind at Walgreens.

Thanks. I guess I just need to quit looking at discount stores.

buy legal size at OfficeMax.

Wal-Mart has 10 cent notebooks?? Sweet!

The store at your college probably has 8.5x11. It’ll probably cost a bit more, but it will probably have your school’s name/logo on it (woo school spirit!) and the extra money will be funding the college rather than Walmart.

Ever since I’ve started working at an office that does business internationally, I’ve had a penchant for A4 paper. But I’ll stick with letter, since I really don’t want to try to find folders that fit A4 paper.

But I guess it’s safe to assume you don’t like Hello Kitty?

eBay has a lot of A4 sized folders…but they are in those cutesy prints, unless you want to pay $40+ for a leather folder.

If you search around online, you’d be able to find something. And if you search around a lot, you’d be able to find something cheaply priced.

Being of the male persuasion, no, I do not like Hello Kitty. But I do appreciate the gesture.

I just think it’s cool to have paper that’s different from the usual. And I have to get my revenge on A4 paper after I tried helplessly one day to stuff letter-sized paper into A4 page protectors, completely unaware that there are two sizes of paper.

Perhaps I’ll just have to trek over to Europe to buy notebooks.

Why not use one of those lined notepads that are usually yellow or white, like this: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/1270886/2/istockphoto_1270886-blank-yellow-notepad.jpg

They have really large journals at Barnes & Noble you could use, or go to the Arts & Crafts store and they’ll have larger books for sketching (unlined) or long rolls of paper…or just use a laptop :p

I used a top bound spiral notebook in college. By moving the spiral to the top It seemed like I had way more room to write/outline. Loved them. Here is a link to one such notebook.

^That’s a good idea. I always hate when I rest my hand on the spiral on the side.
