<p>What do you mean “acceptable”? There are no “cutoffs” so to speak or quotas. They admit you (or deny you) based on the whole package. But I can attest to the fact that you don’t need 800’s on your SAT II’s to get in.</p>

<p>He is obviously joking. It is ideal to have an 800 but the adcom won’t look at your application and say “WHAT!?!?! He dares apply to our school with a pathetic 740 on chemistry? REJECT HIM!!!” You’re fine.</p>
