What are your opinions on the two of them?

The first one was pretty scary. I haven’t seen the second one yet.

^ I was abroad with my family when the first one came out, so I could only go see it with them, and my dad was saying what a crappy movie it was so I never got to see the first movie.

We may be watching Paranormal Activity 2 at my friend’s birthday get together, however, some of my friends don’t want to watch it 'cos they’re scared. For me personally it doesn’t look scary but I guess I can’t say much…

I’ve only watched the first one, and I thought it was extremely boring and not scary at all.

There were about three minutes of scary-ness in Paranormal 2. Definitely not worth the eight dollars.

???
What are people talking about “scary?”
I thought it was a comedy. Odd.

It had it’s funny parts.

Demonologist: Oh no! The spirit it mad! I can not be here!

After seeing that I have always wondered how one becomes a demonologist. If I picked that as my career could I make good money off it?

It no way was it scary though. I have no desire to see the second one because didn’t even make that great of a comedy.

Let’s just say my panties felt different after PA1.
As for the second one, eh. The plotline was way slower than it’s predecessor, and all of the scary stuff happened, in like, the last 20 minutes. Definitely not pee yo pants worthy.

This summer, I saw the first one with my sister and two German students at 10 o’clock at night. Trust me, scary movies are at their best if you watch it at home late at night. If you watch it in a movie theater or during midday, it’s not so scary. I haven’t seen the second one yet and I don’t plan to until it comes out on dvd.

^ But it’s supposed to be scary in the movie theatre since the screen is bigger so there’s a bigger effect. Like when I watched 30 Days of Night (is that what it’s called, the movie where the people turn into vampires and it’s dark for ages) with my brother and dad before bed it was kind of blah, but then some family friends who saw it at the movies said it was scary (and they claimed it was because of the big screen).

^ Not really, Paranormal Activity is unique from other scary movies in that it has a “homely” touch to it, making it feel like it could happen at your house. Movie theaters aren’t as scary because…you’re at a movie theater with a lot of people. This movie isn’t perfect and some people may not think it’s very scary at all, but in my opinion, it was a good movie.

^ I guess that’s true. Haha, some of my friends were like “Ohmigosh is this real? Is it gonna happen to me?”

the thing is… I can think of something a lot more scary, say… a IRS agent. As we get older, the things that scare us tend to be more worldly and realistic now. (Sorry for my excess use of periods.)

I could not force myself to go see the sequel. I had to watch the first one between my hands…
