I used Parchment to send my transcript to Common app. On Parchment website, it says delivered. Where would I be able to see it on Common APP? Is there a way to sent transcript to Coalition App also using Parchment? Thanks
Also is there anyway to send SAT and AP Test Scores directly to Common App and to Coalition instead of sending it individually to each and every college?
Self-reported SAT scores can be entered in the Common App and shared with all schools. But if a school requires an official report (4 of 11 for my daughter require it), it must be sent from College Board directly to the school. Check each school’s web site for the requirement. For example,
CMU requires - “ If you choose to have your scores considered, you’re required to submit all official results ”
MIT does not - “ Going forward, we will no longer be requiring applicants to officially send their SAT, ACT, or English proficiency test scores as part of their application. Instead, they will be able to self-report their scores on the application, and we will verify these scores upon enrollment.” (They don’t use the Common App, but the language is the same)
I assume ACT is the same, but haven’t looked into it.
AP scores can also be self-reported in the Common App. I’ve not seen a school that requires an official report as part of the application. (Not sure I’ve seen one that even mentions AP scores in a meaningful way as part of the application process). My D is not planning on any official sends.
I also assume the Coalition is the same, but haven’t looked at it.
I don’t know the details, but my D21 used Parchment for both the Common App and the Coalition App. Parchment is all her high school uses.
In terms of actual receipt, even a status on the Common App doesn’t mean the school has processed/tracked it.
When my older D was applying, she had accounts at each school to view/track material receipt. My youngest hasn’t set those up,yet, but I suspect it’s still the same and this is where to confirm that a school has acknowledged that they have received it successfully.
