for those parents on CC, did your interviewers ask more about your child?
None of my interviewers asked my dad anything.
they said "She has covered everything we needed to know" and they asked him if he had any questions.
Is this odd/good/bad?

they did the same with my dad.. only asked if he had questions thats it.. but i dont really know anything else.

As a parent same thing here... they didn't give you much chance to brag about how great your kid is ...yadda,yadda,yadda. Basically a forum to ask questions. One interviewer recapped all my child's answers to the questions, others didn't even do that.

okay good. :]
someone told me they ask more questions about the kid.

Perhaps you, boarder and my child did a better job at communicating for yourself than that someone you talked to! :)

We basically got a compliment or two about our child then it was on to our questions.

Parent interviews varied somewhat by school, but every interview was an opportunity for the parent to ask questions. I don't remember any interviewer asking questions about my child. Some reiterated the notes from my child's interview so I could add to them.

"the shorter the parent's interview, the better".. so as ive heard.

man i wish my dad took me to the interviews... he's 6'4. but then again, my dad never shuts up.

haha, but hey that must make u very tall then- ahh a pity, im only 5'3

grumblegrumble midget asian genes... (!!) :D

hahahhaha no i'm only 5'6. i wish i were 5'10.

We were told many times at the parents interviews that the purpose was to give us a chance to ask questions and to find out more about the school. The most common question asked was whose idea was it to attend boarding school - parent or child?

I would bet most interviewers have never had a parent that didn't want to brag about their child....enough said. Parents should stick to questions about the school and let their child speak for themselves.

You tall people are being cruel to the younger children who haven't grown as much yet. :D
They asked my grandmother some things, though that may have had to do with the fact that it was my grandmother and not my mum or dad. She mostly asked questions, and said they told her a lot about how my interview had gone.

im asian.. and weirdly im 5'8/5'9
hah.. screwed up genes...

that's very rare. i have never met an asian woman that tall.. lol.

i have 2 cousins that are half chinese/half white and they are TINY for their age. one's supposed to be in 3d grade or something.. he doesn't even reacht he height of my legs!

oh jeez. each generation is getting shorter and shorter.
i know.. everyone else in my family is normal height.. 5'5/5'6

ha whats wrong with you? do you eat a lot of cheese and steak? hahah..seriousy.

i was always the tallest in my class and everything (like, 5'3 as a 11 year old..).. and then in 8th grade people started to catch up w/ me so i figured i would grow later.. but now i just turned 16, so i'm like.. mkk? i was predicted to be like, 5'8/5'10.. father's 6'4, mother's 5'7.. idk what happened? little brother is going to be a giant as well.

seriously, what happened to you? what did you eat growing up? lol.. have you been doing yoga since you were in the womb? ballet?

haha gymnastics? but thats supposed to stunt your growth...
MILK! thats what it was. a lot of it.

ahhh id love to grow another 8 more inches or so... ;)
