<p>I’m getting an error message when I try to log into my CARS e-billing account, but myfinaid login works perfectly fine. Is there a separate login for parents and students? Maybe try logging in with the student account? Or you can just email or call them to see whats up.</p>
<p>Sandyluo203, yes, there are separate logins for student and parent if the student authorizes the parent, which my son has. You are right, easiest to sit down with my son and have him log in and check it out. The hard part lately has been pinning him down! ;)</p>
<p>Received this from the Financial Aid office about the Parent MyFinAid portal:</p>
<p>*Our parent MyFinAid system has been experiencing some difficulties recently, but the student portal should still be working. As for the parental access here are some tips that have proven helpful for some parents: your son should click on “reset MyFinAid password” that will be next to your (the parent’s) name. A message will pop up with an ID & ID Password, which you will use to log into the Parent MyFinAid portal. If this does not work for you, try accessing the website through a different browser (which it seems you already did). You can also try refreshing the page immediately after, this often works.</p>
<p>If none of these tips help, we recommend you simply sit down with your child and look at their MyFinAid as the two systems are very similar. </p>
