Parent PLUS Loan and Off Campus Housing

<p>I apologize if there is a thread out there relating to this topic but my searches did not find any. Here is my question:</p>

<p>My son wants to live in an off campus apartment next year (Sophomore year). We took out a Parent PLUS loan this year and anticipate doing the same next year. Is it allowable at Purdue to use PLUS loan funds for off campus housing rent?</p>

<p>Yes. However, it takes time for you to receive the check from Purdue after they take their portion for tuition and fees. I believe most apartments work this out with the student so he should ask the apartment management on payments.</p>
