Ok so I just checked my tuition balance and it says that I owe -2,400. I remember taking the loan entrance counseling last year and if I end up with this extra money I'm suppose to send it back to the loan department. Who should I contact? Or will my school just automatically send it back to the loan department?

When you filled out for the Plus loan, there was a place where it asked if you wanted excess funds sent to you or the student. My guess is you will get a refund. My D’s financial aid info at her U gives us the option of how much Plus we want to accept. I know when you go online to apply, you also have the option to specify the amount you want (rather than the max amount you qualify for). If you ask for just what you need, then you won’t have excess in the future. If you get a refund, you could always pay it back to the loan servicer before much interest accumulates.
