Parent Weekend & siblings

Hi, does anyone recommend bringing our daughter's (incoming freshman) sister (sophmore in high school) to Parent Weekend? Will she have things to do or will she bored? Thanks.

Most of it is unstructured. You can pretty much do what you want. It’s a time to meet your college kids friends, go out for dinner, etc. Depends on family dynamics; if older sib wants younger hanging around.

We took our high school sophmore last year. The school schedules lots of information sessions, etc. but we mostly spent time looking around campus and St. Louis. It really depends upon whether the sister wants to go and will be interested in seeing her sister and the school. I think it is good for the younger sister to see the older sister’s environment.

My mom took me and my two younger sisters (we were all in middle school/high school) to my brother’s family weekend at Vandy. Parts of it were boring, mostly because we had a lot of free time and he was busy, but other parts were pretty fun. We did stuff in the city or hung out on campus. I think in general, there’s a good amount of empty time to fill, but we all elected to go back every year. With all the museums in St. Louis, I’d imagine there will be something there to do. And my mom is bringing my younger sister to mine, but I think she mostly wants to come so she can eat at that mac n cheese place at the loop… -.-
