Parent works at Tulane give an edge in acceptance?

Hey everyone,

I'm so glad I've found this website. Seems to have great people registered to it. Well here goes. I'm a senior in HS and am hoping to attend Tulane. My dad works there as a researcher/asst prof of the Urology dept. and has a tenure. I have a 3.3 GPA unweighted and am taking the ACT on Oct 28(and hopefully get at least a 28 on the test). I'm worried sick about being accepted there since if I get in I will attend my undergrad for free. It's nothing to be sneezed about either since TU is pretty expensive and I would be helping my dad financially. I know I'll have full tuition; the problem is getting accepted. Are my chances increased by my dad working there, do I get accepted no matter what (based on having an ok but not excellent transcript), or does it not help at all? Thanks in advance.

I think it will. Also I think they give tuitions if your parents work at the school.
