Parental Occupation Mix-Up

<p>I have a parent working overseas now for a foreign company (for about ten months out of the year). I was asking about tax related things today, and he files, under advisement from a tax advisor, a Schedule C for being self-employed for the purposes of income tax in the US. However, on the Common App, I listed his occupation as working for that foreign company.</p>

<p>Do I need to email each school individually and correct it to self-employed? Will schools only look at the information presented in the FA application and not the common app?</p>

<p>Don’t worry about it. It’s the income that matters - not the employer.</p>
