thanx

i am bringing my parents becuase I have to. Im from new york so they need to come buy all my things for me. Also Im kinda scared to move in from the east coast by myself

aww stan, i'll be there to help you, so will Benzene <my car="">.</my>

lol ok i feel better now. thanks.

Yup, my dad's coming. My parents seem to think that the moment I step off the airport, I'll be whisked off to Mexico or somewhere by a wayward taxi driver, so they're not letting me travel alone. Until December anyway. Is anyone here a football player? I'll need a bit of help lugging my bags to my dorm :p

I'm a wrestler if that counts lol

It's cool to let your parents drop you off safely at Stanford's doorstep. It makes them feel loved and wanted.

Just point them south to Carmel shopping, Pebble Beach golfing and Big Sur, or north to San Francisco (the "City," never call it "Frisco"!) and the Napa/Sonoma wine country, until it's time for them to catch a flight home.

stan, you're my new best friend. hint, hint.

gsp, great idea! Any other suggestions? Any interesting gardens in the area?

nkay, Sunset Magazine's garden is among the most famous in the area and is only 3 miles from the Stanford campus.

Botanical Gardens at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is also popular.

my parents are coming to drop me off. it'll be nice to be able to get last-minute things if that becomes a necessity.

Thanks! I'm sure my dad would love to look at them before going back home.
