Parent's graduate school alumni status?

<p>My father graduated from the medical school at Virginia; Does that qualify me as a legacy? I read that legacies are put in the same pool as in-state applicants.</p>

<p>According to UVa Alumni Admission Liaison Program legacies are defined as the following:</p>

A legacy student is defined by the Office of Admission as a child of a degree-holder. Step-children are also considered legacy applicants if they reside with a step-parent who has earned a U.Va. diploma.
