Parent's income taxed at source

Hi,

I am an international applicant and I am required to file the CSS profile to apply to a bunch of colleges.
In the “Parent Tax Return Status”, I selected “Not filed, and not required to file a tax return”.
My mom is retired so she doesn’t pay taxes and my dad is a civil servant so the taxes are automatically deducted from his salary. We never see the green of it in the first place, and we effectively never had to file a tax return.
However in other sections of the CSS, they ask for my dad’s GROSS income, but nowhere do they ask the amount in taxes that is deducted from my dad’s salary (which is 33% of my dad’s gross income, thanks socialism).
What should I do to ensure that colleges get an actual picture of my family’s financial situation ( that is, by taking in account the amount my father pays in taxes each year).
I have salary certificates that state the net and gross income for my father. Can those be uploaded on IDOC (for some reason, I haven’t been able to access the platform yet).

I would really appreciate any useful answer !!
Thanks !

Just an FYI. I’m a U.S. citizen and not even a civil servant. My taxes are deducted from my salary as well. I never see the green of it either…unless I’m entitled to a refund at the end of the year because I overpaid.

Just about everyone completing a Profile also pays taxes…you aren’t the only one.

The income needed on the Profile is your dad’s gross income. That’s what all the rest of us report. Here it’s an adjusted gross income which can also include income other than from a job.

So…in that income section…put your dad’s gross income.

I haven’t completed a Profile in a while…but when I did, there was also a question for income taxes paid. Is that question still on the form?
