Parents of Brandeis applicants

If your child got any kind of merit scholarship from Brandeis, would you be willing to reveal his/her grades and scores? Thank you!

I’ll bump this as I’m interested as well and there were no replies to the original post.

Hi - I just saw this. My son is a sophomore at Brandeis. He was named a “Justice Brandeis Scholar” which gives him $17,500 per semester for all 8 semesters. He had a 4.0 unweighted, 4.4 (out of maximum 4.5) weighted GPA. SATs Math 770, Reading 780, Writing 720.

@Awesomekidsmom Thanks!

@Awesomekidsmom : Are you sure you got that right?

it says that Justice Brandeis Scholarships top at at $17,500 annually, not per semester.

@soze - you are absolutely right. I must have had a senior moment. It’s $8750 per semester. So sorry for the confusion! I’ll see if I can edit my original post.

@lauriejgs
My son was admitted two years ago and received a $15K/yr merit scholarship.

His stats:
GPA = 3.5 (at a very competitive private HS w/ no grade inflation)
SAT’s = 2340 total. Something like M760 W800 CR780
SAT II’s = Bio 800 M2 780
Meh extracurriculars
We’re out in northern CA, if geographical diversity plays any role. And in terms of other sorts of diversity he’s as vanilla as they come.
