Parents on Move-in Day

Hey, so my parents are going to help me move in on Sunday the 20th. Are there any events planned for parents or anything like that? Or can they just leave after they've helped me? I would feel bad if they just left... hehe. Any suggestions? (Besides going out to eat)

There's tons of stuff going on on campus.

Thanks. THis website really helps

No problem.

my parents are also helping me move-in, but they dont know how long to stay...how many nights are your parents staying?

my parents are driving me up Saturday from So Cal, we are spending the night in SF. They will probably spend all day at Cal and leave after the BBQ. They plan on staying in SF Sun night and driving home on Monday.

my parents stayed a couple nights. they helped me move in, and then the next day we picked up a few extra things at Target that we had forgotten

Thanks guys, so it seems like most parents stay only a couple nights.

haha my parents are dropping me off in the morning, then going to SF to putz around a bit. they're coming back to move me in, and they're splitting by afternoon.

course, we're only like 1.5 hours away by car.

I'm over 9 hours away and many of the students live quite a distance away from the campus anyway, so expect lots of parents to drudge around awhile.
