You should take a look at Bucknell. And I agree w/ #2.

I don't know about perm residence/citizenship status at these schools, though. Also...some are liberal arts so won't have a finance major....but you could consider majoring in economics...which is a good background for finance.

Rhodes (A regular poster, Curmudgeon's daughter, is there doing medical research.)
Dennison
Franklin and Marshall
Baylor
Davidson
Macalester

meant to say

University of Rochester, Lehigh, Villanova, Fordham, NYU, Boston University

Are not financially feasible options because they :

offer very limited FA to international students.

Several of the schools mentioned in this thread are LACs that don't offer programs that match the OPs interests (finance and medical research). And many would not fit anyone's definition of a "safety" in a competitive environment. (Bates, Colby, Chicago, NYU, Skidmore, Bucknell, Smith, Wellesley, Carleton, Macalaster, etc as "safeties"? Seriously? Ah, the rarefied world of CC!)

On the other hand, I think the posts highlighting flagship state unis offer good possibilities. Likewise, I think the suggestion re: Northeastern might be a good one. OP can study finance there, and there is A TON of medical research going on in Boston. Also OP could conceivably do Coop to help pay her way.

Look at Stetson, Rollins, Eckert in Florida. Also the Florida state schools.

cadbury--lol--true those schools are not safeties. But the op did say match/safeties. I do think some of the schools mentioned are matches given her sat's, gpa and rank in class. The fact that she is hispanic helps as well.

University of Santa Clara, San Diego, or San Francisco (sister schools) all offer merit aid to non-residents/undocumented residents. Beautiful schools!

concur with Bessie:
Santa Clara University (CA), University of San Diego (USD-not UCSD).

Not sure about financial aid, but some additional good (probably safeties for OP) schools for medical research for undergrads are
Occidental College
Reed College
Lewis and Clark

for finance
University of the Pacific

OP is a "domestic international" = international. Which means financial aid will be difficult to come by, although her ethnicity will help. VERY few private schools offer enough FA to internationals to be considered a safety, even as an URM.

What are you worried about? A URM with a 1390 SAT and a FAFSA of $0? Princeton would be free. Any full need college would likely be free. Smile, the world is your oyster.

University of Puget Sound, Williamette, Linfield . . . Good luck!
