i’m so confused… are we talking about move-in as august 27th? what if we’re doing cultural connections, and we supposedly move in earlier? when should parents come?

I think that some parents will be saying goodbye at the start of CC but most will be saying goodbye during the official move in dates. Its all a personal decision, but its all good.

Parents are invited to Freshman Assembly on Saturday morning, August 28th, and to the reception afterward. According to the Calendar for Opening Days of College, the suggested departure time for parents is 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday. But of course parents can leave beforehand or choose not to attend Opening Days at all.

I’m a CC aide so I’m glad to hear people who are going to be doing it. I’m going up to Yale soon for training and am REALLY excited to meet you!!

For CC, you do “move-in” early. But, we don’t advocate you bringing all the stuff you’re trying to move in with you. Basically, the best bet is for you to bring only the most important/essential things with you for CC to move in. And then, bring the rest of your stuff for Move-in Day. If for some reason you have to bring everything with you for CC, that’s okay. We’ll help you move stuff. It’ll just be more work.

Parents are not supposed to come on that Wednesday to help you move. They should come on move-in day on Friday.

Helpful.
