I have been out of the loop this weekend. I was out of town Fri-Sun (in Tally of all places) and got back in late last night after a 5+ hour ride :(. This AM had a busy day, just now checking emails for the last 24+ hours, and I had the email about parent's weekend. Hotels are already scarce, and the price for that weekend already high for a special event. I'd suggest getting a reservation soon. I wish I had known yesturday, I would have made one while I was there. My top three choices are full...but I did manage a reservation.

So what is the best way to get football tickets?

Buy season tickets...and a condo in Tallahassee. ;)

Laughing... (on P2noles comments). I made hotel reservations this am, but it was tough going. Found a deal on Priceline for $150 a night, but not in our first choice hotel. But it's in Tallahassee and it's not $300/night! I think football tickets go on sale this Friday evening 2/15 at 6 pm, based on what I heard while I was on hold.

Question for you veterans: do your kids sit with you at the game at Parents' Weekend, or do they sit/tailgate with their friends? I am thinking they sit with friends but not sure (?) Wondering if we need to buy tix for s or whether he will get his own as a student. Help!

Our kids prefer to sit in the student section, where they stand and cheer most of the game. By comparison, the alumni section is boring.

Hotels in Tallahassee on game days typically go for double the regular rate and there is a two day minimum - if you can find one.

ROFL. Well that's not gong to happen!! So football tickets for parents weekend are harder to get than a hotel room?

Well, the early bird almost always gets the worm. :)

thanks for letting us know about the kids in the stands ... that's what I figured.
