parents weekend

<p>Is the parents weekend usually in the last weekend of october? My sister goes to another school in DC and I was wondering if it falls in the same period of time?

<p>Last year it was Oct 15-17. Usually it’s around that time. I looked but I don’t think the 2011 date is there yet. It would be too convenient for it to be the same weekend as your sister’s, right?!!</p>

I thought it would be nice for my parents since they would be driving up to see all of us, which they’ll do anyway, I hope, lol!</p>

<p>The 2011 date hasn’t been announced yet, but they’ve said they plan to announce it in “early February.”</p>

<p>I feel like it’s been Columbus Day weekend twice now, but I could easily be wrong…You see for some reason the amount of party increases exponentially on parent’s weekend so my recollection may not be trustworthy…But the terrified looks on hungover peoples’ faces when they walk into the dining hall because they need to shove something down their throat before they puke and suddenly see a large population of people over forty and under ten are priceless.</p>

<p>I agree it usually is Columbus day weekend. The one thing you can be guaranteed is there will be no football game, and the campus is dormant.</p>

<p>In the 3 plus yrs. I have been here, I don’t know any parent who has done this. You obviously have family in DC so I would suggest pick a weekend that works best for both of you.</p>

<p>Seriously, you can give them a tour of the campus, you don’t need to have tour guides.</p>
