<p>We are heading up to State College for parents weekend.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good place in town to watch the Penn State game in State College. We'd like a place where we can eat lunch and has a good crowd.</p>

<p>Oh - I wish I could be there! But, since I believe this day corresponds with the Illinois game (the Blue Band’s big away game), my son won’t be there anyway! </p>

We’ve gone there to watch a game. The food was surprisingly decent and the views are magnificent.</p>
<p>1moremom - I’m pretty sure that’s the “away” game for the Band. But please double-check! I was hoping the Band’s away game would be Purdue, because DS has some good friends from drum corps and an old/good friend from our Egypt days there…but no such luck!</p>

<p>I already did check, so I could copy and send to everyone else who’s going. 
This morning I went to the fabric store and bought orange and blue ribbon for my hat to balance my blue and white sweater and shirt. (Of course, during hoops season I wear nothing but orange and blue.)</p>

<p>How about Kildare’s Irish Pub–you can say hi to my son for me He works there 2days/week! Lots of TVs, too!</p>
<p>We are staying at the Hampton on East College Ave. Kildare’s sounds good and I will be extra friendly to all the servers in case I get BeachMom21’s son. Mt. Nittany Inn sounds good, too, and my D may be in the mood for something calmer. We just don’t want to watch the game in the hotel room. It’s funny, I never watched college football before this season and now I’m hooked. </p>

<p>If you’re at the Hampton, and don’t want to go anywhere, Damon’s is right in the parking lot and their food is pretty good. Kildare’s is a great choice, as is Champs (other side of town). </p>
<p>Grccx3 – I have a photo of one of the trumpet groups playing in the stands at the last game – wonder if one of them is yours?!</p>
