<p>We had to miss parent's weekend last year. This year will be our first and even more fun since my Niece will be a blue hen as well. We will have a group of 8 for dinner. </p>
<p>Am I too late for dinner reservations? when do most go out? Friday night? Sat night? What's your favorite place or maybe a place that's great but not many think of? I got my hotel reservations but never gave dinner a thought. help! :)</p>

<p>There is usually a pretty good comedian on Friday night - freshman year we saw Seth Myers and Steven Wright (excellent), soph year was Bill Cosby (we missed it), junior year was Martin Short (just ok). </p>
<p>For Saturday night, make sure you leave enough time to get get out of the football game (if you are going to the game).</p>

<p>Another favorite Two Stones Pub, casual beer centered, above average quality food for the surroundings! 2 Chesmar Plaza, Newark, not too far from stadium.</p>
<p>Pinang Cuisine 214 Louviers Dr in Newark is also wonderful!</p>

<p>Parents and Family weekend is November 8th, 9th and 10th this year. The football game against William and Mary starts at 3:00pm on Saturday, Nov. 9th. So if you plan on going to and staying until the end of the football game I would recommend setting up dinner reservations a little later that night. There also is a Cheesecake Factory restaurant at the Christiana Mall if anyone is interested.</p>
<p>Does anyone know when the tickets for the parent’s weekend events will go on sale? I’ve e-mailed the University but have not received a response.</p>
<p>The Parents and Family Weekend website just says to keep checking back for information. So I would just keep checking back on a regular basis. Also it should be announced in the weekly parents newsletter email (UD Weekly) that you should be receiving every Monday. The website did say that the Comedian this year will be Jim Gaffigan. I also would recommend the Ghost Tour.</p>

<p>Had a great time at Parent’s weekend. Although I’ll never understand why this year it was so late in the season! A bit too cold for me. Hopefully next year they will go back to an earlier choice of weekends as they have in previous years. </p>

<p>We had a great time this past weekend too. We ate at Sofrittos. Very good food and excellent service. I agree, that it was too late in the semester. My S is coming home for Thanksgiving in a few weeks and then home for break a few weeks after. But, it was really nice meeting all of his friends and seeing how well he has adjusted!</p>
