Parents Weekend at USC is this coming weekend and I'm wondering if there are any activities (besides football) that shouldn't be missed. The list of possible activities is very long and I'm wondering if any of the "veterans" can share their experiences from past years. We've heard the tailgate before the game is a must and the Beach Bash Friday night is a lot of fun. Any other suggestions?

sorry, can't help you we haven't ever made the trip for that event. I would imagine if your kid's major is doing anything that might be nice to attend (for example, the Honors College puts on a Parents Picnic).
Anyhow enjoy and report back on how it was!

If your kid is in the Honors College, don't miss the Honors College picnic. The food is great, and all the Honors College staff are fantastic

Parents Weekend at USC was great, although it did start out rainy on Friday. Everything was very well organized and there were tons of options for parents. We spent most of our time visiting with our daughter and running errands. Her sorority hosted a nice Friday evening get together for parents. Tailgate party before the game was definitely a highlight -- lots of good food and music. Missed the Honors College picnic because we had to head out early for the very long drive home. Did squeeze in brunch at Harpers in Five Points before leaving and it was delicious!
