Parents- which is more important SAT 1 or 2

I'm in a panic. I can only take the SAT one more time in january for my score for my 2006 college app. My scores are:
SAT 2: math 2- 800; US History- 740; Literature- 680 :(
SAT 1: Math 770, writing 680; reading 690 (combo: 2140)
ACT: 32
The colleges I want to apply for needs three SAT 2 scores (and my literature is really bad). SHould I take the SAT 1 again to improve it or take the SAT 2 again? Which is more important to colleges?

Both are AWFUL.

Don't even bother applying...go to a community college and get some good grades...you're screwed for any school right now. :)

In all seriousness, I would retake the SAT 1, you have more room for improvement in writing and reading than you do with just the II Lit.

I would retake the SAT reasoning, arguing that the decisions of multiple schools will be based on that test.

Don't re-take anthing. No school in the country will reject you based on a 680.

If you plan to retake, retake the SAT I. Your lit score currently matches your reading and writing, which will indicate to colleges that you are weaker in that area. If you could bring up the reading and writing, the lit would not be as important. (I think it was scores like those that got my son a waitlist at Stanford, along with the fact that he had a B in AP Lit.)

For any but the top colleges, those scores are great. If you are going for the very selective, another try on the SAT I would be worth it.

Susantm is right!

SAT I, relax and enjoy the adventure!

Definitiely SAT I, if applying to highly selective colleges. If you can get a couple of more bubbles correct, you can raise your CR score above 700. Of the schools that require SAT Subject Tests, your two strong scores are extremely competitive.

I got a 36 on the ACT reading and a 32 on the writing. The reason I did poorly on the SAT was because of not studying. Will my 36 be able to replace the low scores in reading and writing on the SAT.

stop worrying, i had like the exact same SAT score as you and it turned out fine for me, my verbal was a 690, i got a 1450 overall and I got into some highly selective schools.
