Parents Won't Help...?

HeyUmYeah,
I agree with QandAorBust. Ask your friends to see if they can help. Take control of your own education. Save some money on application fees, do what you must to visit the colleges before you apply. You will be saving a lot of money by applying to only the schools that will fit you best. Trust me. If money is an issue, don’t waste your money applying to reach schools, apply only to match and safety schools that you can afford. Get the best value for your money. If you are unable to visit in person, check to see if the schools have a video tour of their campus online, or have them send you a copy. Find out who is your admission counselor and communicate with him or her to get your information. They are usually more than happy to help. Perhaps you can find some friendly folks who will be helpful and answer any questions you may have about that particular school through that school’s forum on cc. Best of luck!
