<p>what about bright futures? Don’t you qualify for 100%? (well more like 75% now that they lowered the aid)</p>
<p>That sucks! I think you have a great chance at all of your colleges! Don’t lower your standards b/c of money. I hate seeing other talented kids give up on their dream colleges b/c of money. you have one life! Might as well apply and see how everything rolls. </p>

<p>Yeah… 75%. And then there’s the room and board, which would bring UF up to around $10,000 by itself.</p>
<p>Chances aren’t your issue right now, making sure you apply to schools where you will get merit aid is the most important. Take advantage of the Bright Futures and Florida as you’ve said, then read the threads on great merit aid which have “stickies”. Find schools where you are in the top quarter of students and see where you are with merit scholarships this spring If you haven’t, best get on those applications.</p>
<p>With the money issue, just stay in-state, it’s not even a discussion really…if your passion is med school save the money for it.</p>
