parents, you can most probably help me better

Cheers: what are scattergrams?

and i agree with michigan being easier because my brother got into the honors program with about the same stats as mine

Cheers, "scattergrams" and "MO public schools" are pretty much non-intersecting sets, except for a couple of wealthy districts in the suburbs of St. Louis.

And believe me, the lack of such data is not the most troubling deficiency of the college counseling most of our students receive.

The fact is, the vast majority of public high school graduates attend one of the state publics, and the criteria for those are well-understood. Those who aspire to anything else are on their own--at best.

Some counties in Missouri have a bunch of USC apps, believe it or not.

Probably those counties are the ones with a decent number of NMSF. Many of the national merit kids from our county apply there because of all the mailings advertising 1/2 off of tuition for finalists.

For UW chart - on the UW home page go to Admissions, Undergraduate, then freshman. There is an easy download box on the right with "Freshman Admissions Expectations" in the list, select this to get the chart.

I've never been to Egypt. I'd like to go. The only sites I know about are the Sphinx and the Valley of the Kings. I rather strongly suspect that your parents could tell me of dozens of marvelous places well worth my time and not well known at all by most Americans. Please mention to your folks that a first generation kid searching for a school can get a lot of unnecessary pressure because the folks don't know all the lesser (and sometimes better) locations. You sound like a mature and thoughtful student. I hope you'll take some time to think about the location and style that would really make you happy. Good luck!
