I am looking into studying at L'Universte Paris-Sorbonne in Paris, France. I haven't really talked to my guidance counselor about it yet, just looking into it. I know the subjects I could study there, but what degrees do they offer? Also, since I am international from the US, do I need to have perfect grades to get in? Also, would I have to be fluent in French to study there, or are there any English options, at least at the beginning until I become fluent? I would have Taken AP French before I go if I went there.

Thanks

You will need to be fluent in French; if you aren’t then frankly there’s not much point reading on. AP French is nowhere near the level you need to be at.

From what I understand it is absurdly easy to gain admittance to French universities if you meet the basic entry reqs (though I do not know if this is true for the Sorbonne or the Grandes

Yes,
I am referring to Universit

It is not false, perhaps if you actually looked in the [French section of the website](http://www.paris-sorbonne.fr/nos-formations/la-formation-initiale/choisir-par-discipline/) rather than just the English (which is targeted at exchange students, not degree seeking students) you might have found it yourself. If you’re unable to read and navigate a simple website in French what makes you think you’d be able to study there?

Dude, I am 14, just a kid. Still studying french… If my false comment offended you, didn’t me to. But your last remark did offend me, I’m human too, no need to be rude.

Thanks for the information though. :-)

Why did that offend you?

"If you’re unable to read and navigate a simple website in French what makes you think you’d be able to study there? "

Is just a simple (if brusque) question. Why is it offensive?

Well, not offensive, just a tad rude and pushy.

sometimes people just like to chat and converse and get an easy answer – nothing wrong with that—that’s what these forums are all about – sharing anxiety and information and hopes of being admitted to the school of our choice after working very hard…let’s be helpful and assume the best of each other and not be brusque – at least that’s what I would hope after posting a question!

What’s wrong with being brusque? I’m not going to hold the OP’s hand through this process, especially if he/she isn’t prepared to do even the smallest amount of research.
