I'm trying to choose between Paris and Bordeaux to study abroad.

I'll be there for six weeks in the summer, from May to June.

Anyone have an opinion on where I should go?

Bordeaux is southern France which is the best region of the country, in my opinion, although Paris is one of the best city in the world; however, Bordeaux is in the western side, right? I like the Marseilles area and aix-en-provence but, Bordeaux probably has amazing cuisine ;)

I would personally choose Paris seeing its education is probably better and your French will definitely get better and you will have a parisian accent :)

I studied in Paris and I loved it. It’s my favorite city in Europe (so far) and the experience was invaluable. Of course I have heard wonderful things about Bordeaux but Paris is a world city - you’ll get all the arts, culture, nightlife, amazing food…you get the idea.

I write for [Students in Europe](http://www.studentsineurope.com). Paris-praising posts pop up all the time.

I’m French and personnaly I’d choose Paris. You’ll find more things to visit, more people to meet and the city is bigger. Furthermore, it’s not too far from Brussels, London, and on by Eurostar.
That said, every French knows that people in Paris tend to be way more stressed and busy and fast-paced than in Bordeaux. Besides it might be easier to approach people in Bordeaux. Furthermore, Paris in the summer is so crowded with tourists, it’s a little annoying. Also it depends on which side of Paris you’ll be living.
Anyway whatever city you choose, there is direct line from Bordeaux to Paris so you could easily visit both cities. France is not that big :).
