<p>ok so i just signed an apt lease and now need parking since i live about 10 min away for driving... i know this topic has been discusses before but any TIPS on any good/possibly free or low costing parking that is walking distance to UCLA???</p>
<p>or should i submit an appeal to parking.. I know they'll reject it, so need ANY other options..</p>

<p>Check out Craigslist/parking/Westwood or UCLA - people in the apts surrounding UCLA will “sublet” parking spaces if they don’t need them. I found one that way. Will probably cost you more per month then UCLA parking…especially now that the quarter is about to start, but I doubt if appeals work unless you have an off campus job some distance away…and you have pay stubs to prove it.</p>

<p>Today’s the last day to file an appeal. Parking apps were down, so you might have a chance, especially if you’ve got an off-campus job and don’t live near a convenient bus line to campus. </p>

<p>Free/low-cost parking:
Veteran Ave (but not Thursdays or Fridays before 12 since that is street cleaning day(s))
The area south of Wilshire, along Westwood. Some people park around there and hop on the Big Blue Bus or take a bike the rest of the way to campus.</p>
