Anyone know where to apply for a parking permit? is it too late?

You have until July 24th I believe.

anyone know if there are places around that you can park for free at that are not necessarily at the campus?

There was another thread about this some time ago that had detailed info about parking possibilities. Use the search feature and you should find plenty of info.

Parking is often very hard to find off campus and when you do it is usually only allowed for 2 hours at a time unless you park a LONG way away. I would try as hard as I could to get a parking pass or carpool!

you park on the street. one side is thursday street sweeping one side is friday street sweeping. unless you park in a 2 hour spot you wont have to move your car around all day. there are only a few streets with 2 hour parking and it is over at 4. sometimes parking can be a pain and take a while but i think its worth not having to pay for parking unless its under $100/month. you’ll mostly have to move your car twice a week once you learn which side is which for street sweeping which i dont think is that bad. but maybe that is just because i’m used to the parking situation in that area.

How often do you park around UCLA? I am there usually 4 days a week and I know parking is alot harder to find than you are making it out to be, also MOST streets on the frat side of UCLA are 2 hour until you get back past ophir which is getting a little far from campus. Parking isn’t that expensive, especially for Summer Session right now! Also tickets are $50 for parking violations, so 2 errors and you are already paying more than the cost of summer session parking. Parking on the Sorority side is also impossible since they require all kinds of permits.
