Parking email

DS got an email for his time slot to request his parking permit. This is not for the on campus students. We bought a house off campus that IS in walking/biking distance, but sometimes he wants to drive (bad weather, late, etc). Commuter parking is hard to come by, so anyone in the same situation, check your bama email for details!

Tks – in same boat, but haven’t received an email yet.

BAMAAF, DS got the email because he had a spot last year. If your child did not, he may need to register.

Copy… Tks. Yes, just went to web page and it says that for incoming freshmen they should be able to start getting spaces on 3 July… Tks

D had a residential parking pass the past two years, but needs a commuter pass this year. She has not received an email about getting her permit. Does she have to do anything different than in years past?

Peachtide, I do believe it is different to get a commuter pass. You can’t get the permit yet, but you can register for a time. There should be a link on the home page of your child’s mybama page or you can go to [Parking Services](http://www.bamaparking.ua.edu/) to register. The current permits are good until August. My DS slot to buy is June 26th.

Bamafana, I can not find anywhere on MyBama to register for a commuter parking pass. Any idea where I can find it? Parking services says to scroll down to Auxilliary Services, but I am just not seeing it.

Peachtide, I don’t think the link is available yet. I’ll watch for it and post as soon as I see it. The commuter spots in the past have been limited, but I do think they have completed a new lot that will help!
