I've never been to the area, so are there any places to park nearby like a parking garage/lot? If so how far away is it from where the info sessions and campus tours are held?

I took a Taxi when I went on my tour. It’s EXTREMELY cheap compared to Los Angeles, and very convenient, and like a roller coaster!

The subway is even cheaper; park far out, or leave the car at home.

I look at garages by neighborhood, address and pricing at this

Um, park somewhere outside of the city and take the metronorth to grand central. From there, take the subway (I forget which ones exactly) to get to washington square park. Parking and driving in the city are really not worth it.

This is close to NYU.

Driving in NYC is really not too bad if you can drive during the off hours or weekends. More reasonable parking can be found, especially if you do not mind walking several blocks or so to your destination ( in general).

For instance, there is an Icon parking that is $12-13 for pretty much the whole day on 9th St. Between 3 rd and 4 th that I found to be good for visiting S at Founders his first year.
Vs. parking at the corner parking lot on 12 th St. Next to Founders that was $8 for the first 1/2 hour. Also, keep your receipts. that particular garage tried to get me formparking pass the 1/2 hour, but I had receipt to show time of departure.
